“Kudoos to everyone EXCEPT the morning dining room staff.”
Reviewed February 16, 2014

Staying at this Hotel while attending a family member in hospital. First visit - 7 nights. Spotless, well appointed rooms. Good upgrades in mine. Lounge a welcome respite in evening. However, morning staff working the (included) hot buffet dining room are rude, unfriendly and gave very poor service. Even extra effort on my part couldn't rouse a friendly greeting after 4-5 mornings. Not what this lovely hotel should accept. Not a happy way for me to start my long and difficult days at the hospital.

Room Tip: Might be nicer to be off the main floor, but this is not a party hotel so my room was good.

Came here to celebrate a birthday and enjoy their Saturday night prime rib buffet. The salad selection was varied and tasty. The prime rib was excellent as was the turkey ragout. Deserts were bountiful and all had their own unique taste. Service was 'old school' attentive, pleasant, accurate and polite. Tracey you did good! They have a great Ukrainian buffet Sunday evenings.

It's not that there's anything wrong with the place per se, but there's nothing really right with it either. The place is stuck in 1980, the decor, furnishings, layout and technology. It's fine for a day or two, but not for a business traveler. The fitness room is small and ill equipped. There's a profound lack of powered parking stalls, a real problem with Edmonton -35 winter nights. The service and breakfast buffet are great, but for the money, I would rather be in a new property.

Clean. Comfortable. Close to kingsway and the royal Alex. Flat screen 32" tv. Shower pressure us so hard. No pool. Small fitness room. Great service and good rates that include breakfast and parking
Well lit parking lots. Ice and pop machine on each floor.

We stayed here for 6 days in August 2013, leading up to a family wedding at the Hotel's conference center next door. Very convenient location for exploring Edmonton. Very large & comfortable beds but strange to have the sink in the bedroom, rather than in the en-suite bathroom. Shame there was no garden or outside space to lounge in. Mid-priced hotel. Overall, I do recommend it.

This is a great place to stay. It is quite central to all of Edmonton. It is close to Kingsway Garden Mall and the Municipal Airport. Has a Superstore right next to it. The hotel's rooms are clean, quite large, with a double sink outside of the bathroom/toilet area. There is no fridge. The breakfast is AMAZING! There is everything you can think of - bacon, sausages, French toast, waffles, potatoes, eggs, toast, yogurt, several kinds of cut-up fruit, three choices of juice and coffee. There is a lounge on the main floor with a piano that often has a pianist playing. Downstairs, there is a bar with lots of VLTs. There is no swimming pool or sauna.
