Great place for a stroll, afternoon tea, and a ride on the train. Everybody there seems to be in a happy mood, which rubs off on you. The train ride is great fun, as is the replica old town. A wonderful place for kids, as there are a lot of things to see and do without being overwhelming.

“Family fun”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

Was a great family outing with a real steam locomotive. Each street is different eras. Was a whole day activity for the whole family. Kids and grown ups enjoyed it.

It is a cool place to visit, feels like you are going back in time. The train is cool too. If you can, I recommend going on the train ride.

“Excellent history lesson!”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

We have visited Ft. Edmonton many times with seniors and with grandchildren. All love it! The attraction follows Edmonton's history from early Fort days up to 1905 -- with a street for each time period. The guides, in costume, in each area are well trained and knowledgeable. You can meet a fur trader (voyageur) packing furs, a First Nations person sewing beads, the first female policeman in Alberta, or a young man living in a tent city. The new film at the Capitol Theatre is excellent too.
