We are well traveled and enjoy international foods. I randomly checked this website and read the single review of these guys and given that they are 4.9 with 100+ reviews on google, I was shocked when I saw 3 out of 5. I began to read and I quickly realized what kind of customer this was....

Asking for lightly cooked roasted vegetables at a Persian restaurant is equivalent to ordering a well done steak at a steakhouse. (PS you didn't even ask according to your comments)

These guys cook some of the best ingredients for the best prices I've ever seen. Koodos Pom!

Where in Edmonton or Alberta can you buy 10.5 Oz Certified Angus Tenderloin Steak cooked over charcoal in front of you as a meal for under $18?

These guys look like they're working their butts off to provide a quality meal at a great price. We've had food here during a weekday lunch and also during a packed saturday night. I am impressed by the consistent high quality foods. Only downside I would say is the restaurant not being Halal (we are malay but have many muslim friends). The owner did politely explain that Certified Angus beef is not offered in Halal at this time and so he wants to ensure he serves only the best.

This place is on Whyte Avenue - a trendy area but certain areas of the avenue are slightly less travelled and this is where this restaurant is. We went there for a quick lunch. The best thing about this place is the excellent service. I purchased a middle eastern drink that I'd never had before and I found it good with the food but on its own it might take some getting used to. My husband didn't care for it and the server / cook obviously saw his reaction when he tasted it - he brought us a replacement coke and bottle of water which was very nice of him. The food was plentiful. I ordered the vegetable platter and my husband had the beef. Between the two, we had plenty of food. I liked the ground meat kabob - my only regret is that the vegetables were covered with oil from the grill and had been overcooked - as a consequence they were dark in color and didn't look that appetizing. I'd ask them to cook the vegetables less next time.
