Description: Gaucho Brazilian Barbecue is located conveniently on busy Macleod Trail. Gaucho means ~ cowboy ~ and refers to our chef and owner Edmilson Rodrigues. Ede comes from the land of the Gaucho in the south of Brazil and has spent a lifetime introducing his food and culture to his guests. In our restaurant we feature a style of dining made famous in Brazil called, 'Rodizio'. Rodizio dining is like nothing you’ve tried before. To do it properly, budget an evening – or at least a few hours – and come hungry! Your barbecue chef of the evening will come around with massive churrasco-style skewers, each with a tender cut-of-the-day. Meat will be sliced straight to your plate, and it won’t stop till your table turns its card over to display the red side. To compliment your barbecue we feature hot and cold side dishes on our side bar. Our side bar is always changing to assure that our food is fresh and in season. Staples on the side bar include feijoada, the national dish of Brazil and bocconcini cheese made fresh weekly by local craftsmen. We recommend you try one of our traditional cocktails to 'open your stomach'- as Brazilians say! Remember to leave room for dessert like our traditional milk flan or the famous Barbecue Pineapple served on coconut ice cream and topped with guava sauce- we call it the 'Crowned King'! Gaucho has something for everyone! Come taste the experience!

Service was good but we'd come to eat. salad 'bar' mis-named 3 choices, bad, worse, ghastly. Meat overcooked, sword shtik is old hat, hoped for S American flavors

A restaurant that serves endless meat?? This was amazing, they do have a salad bar, rise, beans etc. But it is all about the meat and it's delicious without sauces or spices; pork, chicken, beef, lamb, ribs. The asian pears and pineapple were a nice touch and very good too. I will take friends and go back!

Visited here for 2 birthday celebrations, we figured something new/different would be fun. Waitress was friendly and encouraged us to try authentic Brazilian cocktails, which were fantastic. The salad bar was decent but don't expect younger kids (10 under) to eat much from it as everything has sauces/feta. I personally loved the cucumber/pineapple mixture and the bocconcini salad. Meats were plentiful, but lacked enthusiasm. Pork loin & Parmesan steak were hits with us but wings, sausage, ribs, rump steak were bland. Wished they offered pineapple or perhaps mushrooms to change it up. We noticed other tables were offered garlic bread but we were not. Ambience was fair, we felt the table next to us was too close as getting up to visit the salad bar or restroom meant knocking chairs. Overall we're glad we tried something new but not somewhere we'll rush to again.

If you are a fan of BBQ, this is a good choice. The quality of the food is excellent, as is the variety. Sevice at par for an upscale restaurant.
Not to time in which it took to come around. The lapses servers was too long. The different items, which is what this type of meal is based on, was very good. From lobster to octopus to all kinds of beef. Downside was the wait.
If you are not in a hurry, and let's be straight here, this is a carnivors delight, (save the salad bar for other places), this is a meat joint which is well above ordinary.
