Our first visit to Slolumbo's was interesting, educational and tasty. Its a cafeteria style Italian almost deli staffed by the young and uberhip on the day we visited. Nice people working to make good fresh sandwiches in a smallish space behind the counter. Deli meats are pre-cut in hunks and then microwaved with cheese and other fixings before hitting the bread. There is a modest selection of sausages and meatballs with other classic deli sandwiches like Reubens and Rachels. Its likely as close as you'll get to a real Montreal deli out here in the West. Food was fresh and good, but lacked any real flair. All in all, good... very good but needs a bump to get it to great. You'll be well fed, it'll be interesting and the sports memorobilia decor is fun in an odd sort of way.. there's enough diversity to appeal to most... great place for lunch or dinner in a hurry. Have fun.
