On our recent trip, my daughter and I were wanting good food nearby to our hotel that would be filling and vegetarian. The Old Spaghetti factory was right behind our hotel. Were were seated and served immediately. Great service and okay food. It was what we expected and super affordable.

We went there with a group of 6 and we were treated very well by the staff.

They had a nice wine list, we were celebrating a Birthday and the staff came and sang us a ong

it is right down in the Eau Claire Market area and within walking distance of a few hotels....we will be back again

We were greeted and seated quickly and our order was taken in a timely manner....and this was the end of any sort of satisfaction. The waitress was young and inexperienced which showed when she dropped a plate of Caesar salad into a purse and on one of our jackets while serving our soup. She apologized and brought napkins and a damp cloth for us to clean with and called a manager. We emptied the purse and cleaned out all the salad and dressing from inside and out and wiped down the jacket. In the mean time the manager came over and offered to bring us some soda water. When she came back with the soda she handed us a coupon for $10 off (with restrictions on what could be paid for by using it) on our next visit but definitely not this one and told us it was a "token" gesture since these things happen. We told her that we were from out of town and she told us we should just use it at another Old Spaghetti Factory. We then turned to eat our now cold soup and watched as our entrees were brought out and put on the table by pushing aside the dirty napkins and pieces of salad still on the table. We put aside the soup and turned to the bland tasting entrees which was made worse by our lost appetite and asked for the bill. The fact that we had full plates of entrees and soup and had not requested to receive our coffee and dessert that was part of the meal combo was not questioned. The bill was for the full amount that we ordered which in the very least should have comped one of the meals as a real "token". We paid the bill and left with not a word from anyone. The food from what little we tasted had very little in terms of flavour and was fairly bland, the soup was almost broth like even though it was meant to be a minestrone and the pasta was overdone and the sauce watery. This is by far the worst case of customer service I have ever experienced and to be left at a table surrounded by the debris of the clean up and the lettuce, cheese and dressing on the table, chair and floor was beyond an oversight (the restaurant was half empty with ample tables for us to be moved). I also emailed the General Manager when we left... he responded promptly and apologetically but other than offering to pay for the dry cleaning of the jacket and to "take care" of us when we were next in town was at a loss for words for what we experienced. To be honest the offer for the dry cleaning or even applying the $10 coupon to the current meal would have been enough for us to have been satisfied but it was insulting to be told that we would have to come again.

Had lunch there with colleagues and really enjoyed it. I had a gluten free Thai chicken dish, a spinach salad with a delicious dressing, and ice cream for dessert. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. This is a great place for a family dinner, and in fact brought back pleasant memories of family dinners at The Old Spaghetti Factory in Edmonton when I was a child.

Stopped in at the Spaghetti factory with a co-worker for dinner. The food was what I expected with no issues of service. It was a decent value for the money too.
