Our group arrived just before the Friday evening rush so we had a choice of tables and weren't faced with a long line-up. The restaurant is looking a little more tired and old-fashioned since our last visit 5 years ago. The good value for money all-inclusive pasta menu is still a very good deal. Our party was happy with the minestrone soup, lasagne/manicotti, ice cream and coffee all in for $12.95. One of our group requires a gluten-free diet. Old Spaghetti Factory has a very uninspiring gluten-free menu so she opted for a spinach salad with chicken on the side. It was absolutely awful! The chicken tasted like re-constituted something. The spinach, complete with long stalks and wilting pieces had just been dumped out of the bag on to the plate with a couple of tablespoonfuls of chopped apple and a teaspoonful of slivered almonds dumped on top of it. It was all inedible and indigestible. The server brought along the manager who listened to the complaint and immediately said that our guest wouldn't be charged for her meal. Problem was our guest went home hungry as there were no other appetizing choices for gluten-free diets, unless you can face another piece of roast chicken for $16. This restaurant would have received a Poor rating based on the salad, but everyone else in the group was satisfied with their choices, and the manager did refund the salad. Check out if OSF have improved their salad presentations yet!!

Don't be put off by the interior when you arrive - the food was great, the choice extensive and the staff were really friendly. If looking for a cheap eat, you get good food for your money. All main courses come with free bread, soup/salad, ice cream and tea/coffee. The local lager on offer is also excellent.

We were on a tour of the Rockies with a stay at the Westin on 4th in Calgary. The Old Spaghetti Factory is within easy walking distance of the hotel. There is a large menu selection with many pasta dishes, all reasonably priced. Wine by the glass is available with a good selection, and also reasonably priced. The service was very good. There were many families with young kids having a great time. We were with another couple and we all enjoyed ourselves and the food!

We dined here early last Saturday evening. We had soup (minestrone or clam chowder) or salad, entree (roast chicken with noodles - a large portion) and a small dish of 3 ice creams for $14.50. The food was excellent. The service was a bit slow but we had plenty of time. When we left about 6.30pm there were people waiting for tables. Very good value. The decor is good too, stained glass windows give it an old world charm.

Recently went with another couple for a Sunday dinner. There was a 20 minute wait for the table, which turned out to be ready in about 5 minutes so that was a pleasant surprise. Waitress was slow getting to us, but pleasant to deal with, appetizers were also slow. Without complaining or making any comments to the staff, the manager came out and apologized for the delay and told us she would comp all of our appetizers!!! I think this was great customer service!

Meal quality was typical of the old spaghetti factory. Not great, but not bad either. You do get a lot fro your money however with your whole meal being included in the approx $12-18 main course prices.

Unfortunately when we were finished our meal the waitress still hadn't learned from her mistakes and it was a very long wait for the bills. The appetizers hadn't been comp'ed so that involved another re-write of the bills, and finally we couldn't pay with mastercard at our table so had to go up to the bar to pay.

Overall, the manager seemed genuinely concerned with our happiness and that goes a long way to making the meal right. I will try the restaurant again to see if she's made improvements in the staff.
