this was our last holiday meal in Canada, and we needed a big breakfast to fill us up for the flight home. Nellie's was in the Lonely Planet and we had time to kill to find it, so we hiked out of the city centre and weren't disappointed. If you're looking for big portions and a really chilled feel, it's seems like a great place to grab a brunch and some coffee. Our waitress was really friendly and chatty, obviously knew the regulars and the whole place had a nice feel of somewhere people came to hang out. The food is what we call greasy spoon in the uk, but we thought the quality was good. It's basic in terms of plastic cups, old coffee mugs, plastic over the tables etc..but if you just want to feel you can slob out and relax then that's good right?
