“Good restaurant and great market”
Reviewed April 25, 2014 via mobile

They have a lot of different options for lunch and their selection of olives is one of the best in calgary. I only wish they had another branch in the south end of the city.

“Great lunch counter”
Reviewed April 20, 2014

My daughter and I stopped by the other day and had a Italian Sandwich and cannoli that was really good. I haven't had a bad lunch here ever. Not cheap fats food. Good food fast!

“Wonderful deli and store!”
Reviewed April 17, 2014

This Italian deli shop has a multitude of kitchen items and food! Specialty foods also. Try the homemade garlic crostini at the deli counter. The breads were wonderful. Loved it.
It is located not far from downtown on Centre St.

“Amazing Italian market in the Central North End”
Reviewed February 9, 2014

If your planning an Italian meal, then here is where you shop. Huge assortment of ingredients, and an amazing bakery and deli. An entire section of kitchen equipment, dishes, glassware, and cool stuff you don't see elsewhere. the cafe portion maybe seats 50? was packed on our visit. Fresh made sandwiches, pastas, and hand tossed pizza. The deli clerk trimmed off the prosciutto painstakingly well, so delicate and lean it was ....well , perfect.

Do go to Lina's and try this gem out yourself, you will not be disappointed.

“Is this as good as it gets?”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

After reviewing so many great reviews about this place, I made this my 1st stop after getting off the plane at Calgary airport to pick up food and groceries for a week-long stay. Got freshly made spaghetti, house-made pasta sauce, tiramisu, and sparkling water.

I was very excited at the thought of authentic Italian food after having visited Boston earlier this year. I was sadly disappointed that the pasta sauce was so sour that I had to throw it out. The spaghetti had a rough texture. The tiramisu cake was a bit too sweet for my taste and nothing to rave about. As for the sparkling water, can't go wrong with that but it was more pricey than the regular grocery stores.

Not sure I'll visit again in my next trip.
