We ate at Earl's and were happy with our food. The service was ok and the atmosphere was fine. It was nothing to write home about, but there was nothing that disappointed us either- it just did not stand out. I had a chicken curry over rice and was happy with my food. The portion was generous although a bit light on the meat and the appearance was what you would expect.
Our waitress was friendly but had never opened a bottle of wine before. We actually ordered 2 bottles through the course of our dinner and basically taught her how to operate a corkscrew. Not that this was bad in itself, but likely descriptive of how they train their staff. If I owned a restaurant, I would be sure that someone working there knew how to open a bottle of wine without making a show.
It was good, but I would likely not go back, rather favor the next door Joey Barlow- much better by miles and about the same price.
