“It's for the birds ;)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2013

I live in Calgary where this is located, and once a year I try to get down and grab some images of the many birds that flock there. Their website: http://www.calgary.ca/CSPS/Parks/Pages/Locations/SE-parks/Inglewood-Bird-Sanctuary.aspx
You can see a LOT of different species (270 approx have been spotted) along the walking paths throughout the park. It's a great place to stroll around, and if you look around and on the lagoons, you can always find Geese,Ducks and other critters... This is a fun place for Adults as well as kids :)

“Small, family-friendly, and great for birdwatching”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 8, 2013

This is a great place for birdwatching, with a variety of habitats present in a relatively small area. There are only 3-4 km of pathways and very few hills, so it is easy for kids. Serious birdwatchers can see gulls, waterfowl, kingfishers, and a good diversity of songbirds during the breeding season. Both Red-tailed and Swainson's Hawks nest in the area and are not hard to find. Bald Eagles overwinter in the area and are seen frequently.

“If you like birding, you will like this place.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2013

This is a nice nature reserve on the outer parts of Calgary. We arrived at 6am to see what birds were out and were not disappointed. The trails are short and easy to walk which is nice when you are distracted by the birds. The trails run around a large but narrow pond and the river. We saw hooded mergansers, golden eyes, Baltimore orioles and more. The deer and beaver are used to people and ignored our presence. Birders and nature lovers will like this place for a quiet morning. The nature center itself was closed this early so I am not sure what is inside.

nice quiet place to go...nature at its best. did go one time in the spring and the geese chase you! Place is filled with pathways to walk and enjoy the natural habitats. Or just have a sit on a bench and watched the birds
