“Calgary's greatest disappointment”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

Outrageously expensive. Think twice before spending your hard-earned dollars here.

Definitely not suited for those 5 or over. The old science center was wonderful, a learning
opportunity for every age group. The new center will instantly remind visitors of a poorly-run
daycare..

Three pop, 4 french fries, a grilled cheese sandwich, and something that vaguely resembled a hamburger - about thirty dollars. Another mistake.

Definitely rates bottom of the barrel for quality and substance. Calgary's greatest disappointment.

“fun for all ages”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

Parents, kids, grandparents will all have fun at the Telus Spark centre. It is a learning experience for all ages of children. This is a relatively new facility and is really clean and bright. The science experiments with electricity fascinated the kids. The boys competed to see who could produce the most electricity from pedalling. The little ones loved the water tables. The 13 year old loved designing clothes on a mannequin. Making a gravity assisted track for the ball was more challenging that it looked. All of us loved playing the water piano. The staff hold classes at various times, so check when and where to meet for these. The science magic in the theatre show really delighted everyone. The only drawback to this attraction was the cost, so plan to stay all day. There is enough to fill a day. You can buy lunch but you can take your own and enjoy it there. We will be sure to take the next set of grandchildren there when they visit.

“Loved it”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013 via mobile

While admission prices are high, our family loved visiting Telus Spark. The kids area is fantastic, demonstrations were engaging for all ages and the hands on exhibits were fun and informative for everyone. If you're not prepared to take time to read and learn this place is not for you. But if you are, it's definitely worth the trip. We had 2 very engaged little girls who had a fantastic time. Will definitely be visiting again.

“Great learning centre, slightly overpriced”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2013

We have a season pass merely for the fact it's across the parking lot from the Calgary zoo so we can do half days at each or if the weather's crappy we can come on inside! Absolutely love the kids area. It is quite pricey and the exhibits definitely caters to the school aged child (>6 yrs). The special presentations are definitely interesting and worthwhile attending.

“Hands-On Active Fun for Big and Little Kids”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2013

We spent the morning at Calgary's Telus Spark with our kids (ages 8,5 and 2).

Pros: The area at the front for young children is especially fantastic, with activities throughout to teach and encourage discovery. It's possible to have kids in different areas in the room and still be able to supervise them.
There is a separate play area for infants and young toddlers.
The water play area is a winner for the preschool set.
There is a cafeteria to purchase food and an area to enjoy your own picnic.
Everything is located indoors, so a good place for a cold day.
The staff is knowledgeable and are very keen to interact with the kids.
Washrooms are very family-friendly.

Cons: The price is a bit high unless you can stay for the whole day.
