I decided to give Pho So a try today, because I was in the area and noticed that a new restaurant had popped up. Since this was my first visit, I decided to keep it safe and ordered Spring Rolls and Rare Sliced Beef Noodle Soup. Jasmine Green Tea was free, which is great, and I think every Vietnamese restaurant should offer it at no charge. The Spring Rolls are stuffed with pork and shrimp, and they came out hot, perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside; the dipping sauce was well balanced between salty, sweet and spicy. The Pho broth was very good, there was lots of beef (more than other places) and greens; it was served with bean sprouts, basil and Thai chili pepper on the side.
I didn't rate this restaurant as "Excellent", because I think service can be improved. Servers could be a little more talkative, and welcoming; because even though I loved the food, I still felt as if I was at a wake.
Otherwise, do give this place a try if you're in the area or live nearby. I will go back and give the service another chance.
