Daruma aims to provide traditional authentic Japanese food in a smaller restaurant in a strip mall location. Not being Japanese I can't tell if it was authentic, but the dishes we tried were interesting and tasty and like all Japanese food, small. We tried a number of tapas including the baked oysters and beef tataki, and a variety of Sushi, which were all good. Prices were comparable to what you'd pay at other similar Japanese restaurants, but I though the food was of better quality at Daruma. If you don't love Japanese food it's probably not for you and I think because of that fact, and the small portions, I gave Daruma an overall "good" rating rather than the "very good" that it probably deserves.
