As others have noted, this is a small space, which can be pleasant under the right conditions. Because the room is not subdivided, one is at the mercy of whoever is seated nearby. We were unlucky in this regard, which is a risk with this layout.
Service was very polite and friendly but we found the menu unclear and the food we ordered, underwhelming. My companion ordered veal, which was breaded and tough, although the menu did not mention the breading.
I had something described as risotto that was actually more like shellfish and tuna in a spicy broth. At first I thought they had brought the wrong dish. It was ok but not at all what I had expected, based on the menu.
The gnocchi were passable if not exceptional. The calamari appetizer was quite nice. We did not order dessert.
We might have had a better experience with a different selection of dishes or had we not been seated cheek by jowl next to a trio of loudly chattering foodies, who surgically dissected each dish while mispronouncing all the French wines. We did think the menu could have been clearer.
