Over 75 beers on tap, with special food menu makes this place a perfect hangout place after a hard day of work. If you are looking for nice ciders or amber or organic get out to this best place of Calgary uptown. There are food specials everyday, which goes very well with the hand crafted beers. We had a pound of hot chicken wings with pale amber, when we were there last week.
This place is always crowed makes it difficult of the staff. Try to get a seat outside in the summers to enjoying the evening at thus pub.
Overall I would suggest to be at this place if you are there at the 17th avenue.

A beautiful evening in the city last night. We decided we would have some drinks and food on a patio. 17th was very busy, but we managed to get a seat on the west side of the national patio! The restaurant was almost empty, but the patio was full. It took a bit longer to get our first drinks, but we manged to get them. Thats where it went downhill. It took 25 min for our server to come back to take our food orders. By then we needed a second round. Took another 20 minutes. And then nothing for 45 minutes. No one came by! We got our food, and again had to wait for the her to come and take the drink order, as the servers bringing the food were a separate group. Food was not bad. Ribs were delicious! But a small helping. So we decided to get another. That took another 25 min. And then 20 mins later she finally came to get a drink order, as by then we had another guest come by who was sitting with us for 25 minutes and no drink! At this time we asked again about our food and the additional ribs had not come yet. Another person came by to pick up some plates and we asked her if we could order a drink for our new friend. She said she was so busy now and couldnt take our order but would ask our server to come. It was like a joke the whole evening...and the restaurant was almost empty. Furthermore the patio is not that big either. Terrible service and we will not return!

Headed there with a group of friends for drinks after work.
Service was very quick and attentive. Staff is constantly moving through the place to clean up empties, etc.
The place really caters to groups with how the tables are set up so its very comfortable for everyone to hang out. Had a great weather so it was nice to sit inside but with the windows open to the street to people watch. Great variety of drinks, especially for someone who does not prefer beer, and yet there are several beers to check out. The variety kept all of us happy.
Great vibe and great location. Didn't try the food as we were all there to drink but the deep fried pickles were recommended. Street parking would be tough to find with all the restaurants/bars in the area.
And yes, as the night goes on, it gets loud so if you are planning to have a rather serious convo, head somewhere else.
Will go back with my friends!

Went for Mother's Day Brunch. Mom's ate free so that was cool. Service was pretty slow and they weren't very busy. I had a little, tiny, very expensive margarita. Started with deep fried pickles which were amazing. Our server didn't seem to know about the items on the menu. I had Eggs Benedict. Very dissapointing. under cooked with no taste. My husband had waffles that he was sure was Eggos. Overall not impressed. May try it again for an evening out and finger food. Maybe...

Came by here a week ago with a couple friends after work. Came during the afternoon, so we weren't sandwiched in with a hundred other people. First thing's first, the beer selection is ASTOUNDING. I ended up picking the sampler from the drink menu, as I couldn't determine what exactly I wanted to drink. Unfortunately, the food menu itself wasn't the greatest. It wasn't bad or anything, just a solid "meh", and could use some creativity (apparently there used to be an oyster bar?!). Other than that though, I was pretty happy with the experience. I'm looking forward to checking out the patio when it isn't dumping snow or rain in this city.
