A group of four of us went to 80th & Ivy for dinner tonight were, to keep it short, supremely disappointed.

1. Green beans were limp and cold.
2. "Mac & Cheese" was absolutely devoid of any flavour whatsoever.
3. Halibut was served sitting in an unpleasant pool of liquid.
4. Flatbread was like eating cardboard.

I'm amazed that anyone would ever eat here when $30 entrées taste this bland.

The only positive was the décor, it's a great looking restaurant.

Skip it.

A wonderful experience from beginning to end. The food is second to none! We started with an appetizer called "Duck 2 Ways" ... I normally do not care for duck but this was a mouth watering treat. I highly recommend the sharing board with three meat choices and two sides ... absolutely fabulous. We finished with Creme Brulee which was also delicious. The staff are courteous, attentive, and friendly. Oh and don't forget to check out their extensive wine list. We have definitely made this one of our favourite dining choices. Make sure you make a reservation because it has become one of Calgary's hot spots.

I went to this restaurant yesterday. The food was excellent - I had their Rotisserie Chicken (the special on Mondays) - the chicken was really tender, came with two huge sides of my choice. I had brussell sprouts and frites. Both delicious as well:) I was impressed by the presentation of food as well. The waitress was lovely, let us take our time (we were there for a very long time chatting), she didn't rush us one bit.

The only negative is that it got a little too loud, but to be fair, we were in the bar area.

I'd definitely recommend it!

My husband I went to 80th & Ivy a couple weeks ago after a photo shoot unveiling (fulleredge.com). It was great! We had to wait for a table because we didn't have reservations but a couple with a table for 4 was kind enough to let us sit on the other side while we had a drink. Original drinks + delicious food = happy foodies! We are heading back this weekend... and we made reservations!
