I spent a fascinating 3 hours wandering around the museums and didn't even get to see everything! By far the best military museum I've been to, partly for the size, but they have collected some amazing items.

The staff were really helpful and informative and the gift shop has some terrific items for sale, particularly books. My tip would be to check what time the gift shop closes before you start to go round the museums as it tends to close before the museum does.

“So much to see”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Wow! I learned so much while I was there. Spent about 3 hours there and could easily be done 5. The price was reasonable and supports a necessary museum. I would definitely go back again.

“Stirring”

Very effective, thought provoking, detailed displays. Only a vet can comment on the realism but it certainly seems the museum has at least attempted to represent the terror and heroism of war.

“Excellent Presentation of all three Services”
Reviewed October 13, 2012

We visited for an afternoon and found there was so much to see. It is really like three museums in one, with only one admission fee. There are many interesting exhibits from each of the major conflicts our services participated in. Everything is done very tastefully and respectfully. There are whole sections dedicated to the various army units, as well as the airforce and the navy - showing the history of these services from the days of Confederaton onwards. There are also full-size planes, tanks and parts of ships, as well as replicas of all kinds of equipment, plus realistic recreations of various battle scenes with recorded voice-overs telling the stories of real men and women who experienced them. One real treat was the opportunity to visit a veteran on site and listen to his experiences first-hand. Plan on at least 3 hours to visit this great museum.
