We live in the area and frequent Blue Star. We used to head over to Dairy Lane for amazing eggs benny and were delighted to find them closer to home! That said, their dinner menu is DELICIOUS. It's not huge, but there should be something on it to please everyone.

My personal favorites are:

Nachos (different, great for sharing)
Wings (both mexican hot and maple bourbon are delish)
Yam Fries (cinnamon-y)
Chicken Burger - This is my favorite burger of all time, chicken or otherwise.
Notable Mention: Chorizo Burger. My fiancé gets this almost everytime.

Tip: Go at 8:25 or 8:55 to beat the rush of people meeting for breakfast :) And, if you get stuck waiting, order a coffee. If you don't want to wait, why not sit at the bar? That's what we always do when there are just 2 of us.

I have been here several times both for dinner and brunch. The food and service has been top notch every time. One time when we were sharing a starter salad, they split it and served it on two plates for us! That is a step above and much appreciated. Love the specials!

A great spot for breakfast or lunch. Fresh local ingredients and an imaginative menu. Compared to many diners or bistros this is one of the best but I still prefer Dairylane (same ownership) for its charm.

Blue Star is not the place to go on a first date but it is a place to go for a lively visit with friends while enjoying a great meal. Coffee is always hot and plentiful but for an extra treat, have a shot of Bailey's in it. The menu is pretty much the same as it's sister restaurant, Dairylane, which of course is excellent. Great menu selection to choose from, anytime of the day with the added perk of knowing you're eating items that are locally produced. There is always a wait line and sometimes service can be a little slow because of the sheer numbers of people dining here. Be patient with both: it's worth it! Enjoy the warmth and intimacy of Blue Star while rubbing elbows with your neighbors and having an incredible meal.
