Dining options: Late Night
Description: We have 24 taps that change on a regular basis, as in several times per day. Real time, dynamic, digital beer boards convey the current list and applicable information related to each beer. We’re pouring anything that's delicious but we're steering clear of the mainstream. Our food is innovative and unpretentious. Beer Revolution pizzas are made with Italy’s best 00 flour, San Marzano tomatoes and premium meat and cheese. Our pizzas are rolled thin and brick baked at 700 degrees.

I love Beer Revolution for their rotating beer selection. They don't have as many beers on tap as some other craft beer pubs in Calgary, but only three are permanent and the rest are always rotating, so through frequent visits you DO get the variety. :) The food menu is not huge, but their food is decent. If you want budweiser or coors light, this is not the place for you. If you like good craft beers from around the world, BR is a place you should try. Note - they do not have a patio for the summer.

With all the different beers its a must see in Calgary! Go down and try a few, but don't get too crazy! Id recommend this one on a sunday afternoon with friends if you're trying to keep it fairly low key. If you want a hot spot, hit it up on a friday or saturday night bit be prepared to wait in line

Found this place by accident as I was coming back from Safeway with a few things for my room. What caught my eye was a TV monitor near one of the front windows. Stopped and read it and decided that there was definitely time to go in. The LCD monitor at the bar is rotated vertically and looks somewhat like an airport departures board. The information changes every few minutes with where the beer came from, it's alcohol content, when it was tapped and the estimated date they will run out They have both pint and half pint sizes, with the prices for each. They also have 6 bottled beers listed on the bottom of the display showing the inventory of each.

The bartender was very friendly and knew the beers he had on tap well. A real treat was to find two Japanese microbrews on tap - both from Baird Brewery. I had the sheer luck of being able to have both a Teikoku IPA and Suruga Bay Imperial IPA in the same sitting - cheaper that what they cost in Tokyo.

I made several more visits during my trip and ordered a pizza on one of the visits that was very good.

They have tap handles on one wall and claim to have rotated over 500 beers during the last year. The bartender told me that they bring two to three new beers on line each day. This make return visits a must.

They are located on the west end of downtown. The location is about 3 blocks south of the C train 8th st station. Follow 8th street south, going under a viaduct and they are on the left side of 8th st. A good reference point to look for is a building with a larger "ATCO" sign on it.

The space is very nice and the beer selection is okay but not great. I prefer IPA's and there was only one on the menu. Being that this place is called Beer Revolution, I thought the selection would be a bit better. The food selection is lacking greatly with no options for vegans/vegetarians.

Our last night of vacation and staged in Calgary for our early morning flight. The goal was to find a good “beer bar” and grab dinner. First impression, a cavernous loud bar with thumping music packed with a Friday night post-work crowd. We were told there was a 10 minute wait so we got a seat at the bar and decided to eat bar-side since it was a nice spot and seemed a bit quieter than in the middle somewhere. We had a perfect view of the “Beer Board”, a flat screen monitor showing all the beers available, displaying where they were from, date tapped and ABV. I wish all bars had this! We ordered a pretzel appetizer with dipping sauce that was delicious. For dinner we split the “Everyday Normal Guy” pizza (salami, pepperoni, green peppers and red onion) that was exceptionally tasty. The pizzas are rectangle in shape and come on a little metal stand and the choices are unconventional but intriguing. A large and interesting beer selection and we were able to try a few things we never see at home. The service was friendly, professional and efficient. Overall, a nice compliment to our Canada vacation.
