“The way Italian should be done.”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

It was a cold night in Christmas party season, and they were able to accommodate us after we'd been turned away by other places. The menu isn't crowded, the dishes were unique and each one we tried was delicious. Portions were perfect for sharing and the menu is designed for having a little bit of everything. Our waiter was knowledgeable and efficient, and when he got busy serving a larger table in the back an older gentlemen (maitre'd or manager) stepped in to help us with dessert. Good food, good service, and the quality of the experience more than justifies the price. Definitely will go back!

“Inventive Italian”
Reviewed November 3, 2013

If you are looking for spaghetti and parmigiana, this isn't the place for you. Borgo is for those who want to experience Italian food served well outside the traditional box. The space is bright and open, though a bit loud (thanks to its popularity), and the service was attentive but not oppressive. I dined with two friends and we all chose the chicken, which was served on a bed of moist, flavourful risotto. We all raved. My only complaint is that Borgo could increase the ratio of vegetables to meat, but then I'm a bit of a health nut, and of course one can always order a salad.

“Delicious !”
Reviewed October 20, 2013 via mobile

Just finished dinner, omg, I NEVER give five stars, but I can't not! The food was amazing, the service was also five star worthy! My ware and wine glass were never empty, and the fid! Did I mention the food??!?! Exceeded my expectations by a long shot! We had the Borgia sprlunga, which consists of 4 appetizers, a pasta course, and a main course for $45. Everything was tasty, fresh, flavourful and interesting. Also, we had leftovers which was a nice surprise. You HAVE to go!!!!

“A neighbourhood gem”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

We, a party of two, arrived there at 5:45, were greeted by an elderly gentleman that gave the place which is modern in design a certain Old World touch, and were immediately shown to a table. The placed started to fill up when we left and reservations are recommended for late diners as this is a popular spot.

Service was prompt and the waiter was familiar with the menu. First time visitors should be aware that the restaurant is all about sharing the dishes. They have a 3 course item - Sperlunga - that they promote but as the waiter rattles off what it consisted of, it is impossible to remember all the items, and we passed on it as did the table adjacent to us. Borgo should consider an alternative way of explaining this to its customers. The three dishes we selected came out without a long wait, and were well presented. More importantly they were tasty.

Tables were sufficiently far apart so that one could hold a conversation without straining!

In our case, dinner for two with dessert was circa $110.

All in all a good evening

“Too good for words”
Reviewed October 4, 2013

My son and I eat out every Sunday and always looking for a fresh new place. We happened upon Borgo last week and were pleasantly surprised. We were only in the door for 2 seconds when a well dressed gentleman asked us about our visit (cant' remember exactly what he said either how many or just a moment, but, whatever, it was nice that he acknowledged us right away) then, before he got back to us another gentleman came along and sat us right away. We never felt like we were waiting for anything! Someone was always around to answer questions or fill up our drinks, or take our next orders. We felt like we were the only ones in the building! They are exceptional at customer service. The food was also very good. My son doesn't even like/eat salad, but, a salad came with his Sunday brunch and he loved it! WOW that says a lot. Everything from the bread before the meal to the entire meal was a palatable smorgashboard! I would go there again in a heart beat!
