“It is ok but it can be a little corporate and expensive.”

We went to the market for the first time in over a year. It was ok. We noticed that almost a full section of farmer stalls was replaced by food vendors.
The number of smaller sellers seem to have been replaced by bigger corporate type sellers.

The vibe was good with buskers etc.
Good selection of meats, cheese, produce, etc.
My biggest tip is to shop around for prices. I sent looking for cucumbers to make into pickles. Everyone had them but the prices and bag sizes were all different. If you didn't shop around you would miss a deal!
Worth a trip or two but it does take a good shopper in order to get a deal

“Fresh and FUN!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2012

I always enjoy my visits to the Calgary Farmer's Market! Whether it's a weekly trip to pick up fresh produce or a special trip to take my sister when she's in town, we always find the market to be a wonderful mix of intoxicating aromas, delicious foods and colourful organic produce to bring home. My kids also enjoy browsing the various artisan's booths.

“Always worth a visit”

Once a week this Farmers Markert is mandatory. I love the fresh local food and love browsing through the aisles. Fratello has the best coffee I've ever had in Calgary.

“Great place to get meats & produce for your special meals”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2012

We found the Seafood dealer there to have great scallops and really great "gluten free" salmon burgers. I always buy my lean ground Bison there for extra healthy chili's. You can even expereince a delightful lunch with lots of international cuisine and some rather exoitc choices as well. Traffic is hectic on the weekends, plan for a early morning to avoid some of that.

“Calgary Farmer's Market”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2012

Very fine market. Enjoy the local produce - particularly loyal to Innisfail Growers for their potatoes and carrots - almost all year round! Stock and Sauce is my pic for dips and pesto's. Fallen Timber's for mead. Food court a bit more pricey than other venues but excellent selection for any type of meal. Nice and bright with lots of seating room for eating.
