“Yummy crepe”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 12, 2012 via mobile

Crepe is good, strawberry crepe with callebaut chocOlate and whip cream. Coffee is not bad, but often not hot enough the three times I was there. Price is quite expensive to be honest, a crepe and coffee cost 20 something, a bit much for a breakfast I think. The seating area is very cramped, feel that people can easily hear my conversation, very tight space. First come first serve seating, often very packed on the weekends. Would go back tho, crepe is really good.

“Love the food, don't love the seating concept.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2012

The food here is simply excellent and fresh. The crepes, coffees, desserts and the specials (most recently, the baked endive) cannot be found anywhere else in Calgary. I love the staff, the service and the buzz. People-watching here is really fun, too. What I really don't like is the way seating is designated in this cafe. The idea is supposed to be that you line up at the counter, order your food, get a number and then go to a table. However, locals know that the line-ups for this place can be crazy, which leads the locals to have a friend grab a table while the other friend gets in the long line for food. This could mean that you have placed an order for food, but you can't get a table because someone is holding it. The owners seemed to have tried to clamp down on this a bit, but it still happens and it is so annoying. Best way to avoid this issue is to go during off-times (i.e. early in the morning or later in the evening). It is worth the hassle to eat here!

“Won't be back”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 13, 2011

This was our second time to Ladybug Cafe. We took a friend and we all had the same dish, the chicken sausage crepe. We each also had a speciality coffee. Our meal was lukewarm and not tasty, and our coffees lukewarm. The bill was $60. Which we felt was a rip off for what we got. We will not be returning...lots of better places.
