Description: Redwater Rustic Grille’s market driven menu is a fresh interpretation of contemporary West Coast Cuisine with signature dishes and innovative creations. A favorite destination for wine-lovers and foodies alike, Redwater’s wine menu features specialties from smaller boutique wineries, many of which are not found elsewhere in the city. The large selection of wine complements the executive chef's menu of seasonal robust dishes. Canadian Coral, soft lighting, the contemporary lounge and the large glass wine cellar enclosing the private dining room; creates an ambiance of casual refinement. Servers are warmly professional and their enthusiasm for great food and wine is infectious. Redwater is a proud recipient of the 2007, 2008 & 2009 Wine Spectator Awards. Dress: Smart Casual. Please note hats are not permitted in the restaurant and we do not have highchairs/booster seats or childrens menus.

It was a pleasant surprise to have such a wonderful lunch experience at Redwater Rustic Grille. The decor is sleek and classy. Lots of window tables to enjoy the view. Long, expansive dining table inside their wine cellar room: perfect for large groups. The menu was terrific, service perfect. Lunch came very quickly. Although we were not in a rush, it would be a great place to go if you were on a time budget. Thoroughly enjoyed sharing the salted chocolate tart with my table-mate. Complimentary when they found out it was her birthday! What more could you want? Can't wait to try out their beautiful heated patio. A lovely neighborhood spot for fine dining.

We have eaten here a few times. The food is not very memorable and it is expensive as heck. There are better places to eat in Calgary.

With the small selection of dining options around the Aspen area, Redwater was a welcome arrival. We have gone there about 4 times since it opened, and it has gotten worse and worse to the point that we will not be back. The food is average and frankly boring. The summer menu, with its fish options, is better than the winter menu. The weirdest thing is that we were there in middle January and about 15-minutes into our meal, the music suddenly turned on overhead. It was noticeable because it was...Christmas carols. The carols were then abruptly turned off and the Golden Girls theme song started to play. It is actually a very, very long song. Quite frankly, it felt like the place was trying to save money on music fees by playing old music. We also noticed that some of the lamps had lightbulbs removed from them, making us wonder if they were being environmental or cheap or lazy or weird. They also have some strange new water system which basically means that they bring you what seems to be tap water in a glass bottle. The vibe here was sad and empty. The Earls in Westhills is probably a better option if you want a slightly higher end family restaurant.

My hubby and I visited this restaurant on one of our rare date nights and was totally disappointed. The service was fine, but the food was actually sub par and incredibly over priced!! I cannot believe that a restaurant can get away with pricing a tiny 3 oz glass of wine at over $15. We were recently out at a much nicer restaurant that featured comparable 3 oz glasses for $4.

We will never return to the Aspen Redwater Grille, which is too bad because we live so close. We don't mind spending $100+ on a nice dinner out, but it wasn't worth it here.
