“Average”

Could use a little cleaning. It is an ok one, but not that much to see. The one in Montreal is way smaller, but more stuff to see.

“Chinatown an interesting place to be”

I always enjoy visiting Calgary's Chinatown. It's like a little town within the city. I particularly enjoy Dim Sum at the Golden Dragon.

“Closely Bonded Chinese Communties”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2012

Calgary's Chinese communities are closely bonded, thanks to this mid-sized Chinatown in the South of the Lion Bridge. There are more Cantonese opera houses than one may think, and their standards are pretty high. Martial Arts societies are also many, and there are various ethnic associations helping residents in all types of living needs. Restaurants of different cultures especially the Chinese ones can be found everywhere along Centre Street and almost all side streets in this Chinatown. Bookstores, banks, bakeries, churches, Chinese school, etc. together with the Chinese Cultural Centre make this Chinatown a satellite city of its own so self-contained and worth a visit anytime.

“Best Chinese food outside of China!”

Authentic Chinese food...and it's not that "westernized" greasy stuff many of us have become used to
