I stay regularly at Le Germain hotel and make a point of eating at least once or twice here. When dining alone I love to sit at the bar facing the kitchen and watch this very talented staff at work. Their arugula based salads are excellent, they always have good oysters for starters, their cold meats are done on premises and to die for, as are their pork dishes, their roast chicken and other locally sourced meats. I often just sit at the other bar at lunch for soup - beef barley was a revelation recently, as was Thai red curry. Great selection of craft beers on tap and good wine. A bit noisy for my taste at night when with a friend, but this is a very serious meat lovers' temple.
