Pleasant stay at the Fairmont. Was in a corner suite overlooking the ril line. Generally ok, but freight trains rumbled slowly past at different hours, although didn't bother me too much. Good restaurant, good wine selection.

AC Did not work. To tired to get out of bed to report. Awakened middle of night loud voices in hallway and adjacent room. Called desk who finally settled it down. Champagne and strawberries not in room on arrival. Double charged for them. Two serious billing errors at check out and two days later. Way over priced for a very small bath area and room.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The staff are friendly & efficient, the valet parking works very well.
Our room was very comfortable and had everything we required for a short stay. We had two great nights sleep here.
It is located within walking distance to the centre of the city & the Stampede site.
Check in / out are very quick and easy.

This hotel isn't cheap but it's a great value. It doesn't have the view that their Lake Louise sister hotel has but it doesn't have the exorbitant cost either. The Fairmont Palliser is right in the middle of it all. The lobby bar and the Hawthorne Dining Room is tops, from the dining style offerings to the presentations. These folks will exceed your expectations.

If you're headed to the stampede, book in on the night before the parade, not to be missed, passes right in from of the hotel.

Room tip: If you like trains ask for a room overlooking the railroad tracks, fascinating but won't keep you awake at night,

The Fairmont Palliser features clean, recently renovated rooms and offers a good night's sleep.. It is centrally located and convenient to restaurants, shopping areas and sightseeing. Breakfast was a chaotic experience which led one to believe they are not accustomed to groups with early morning departures, a need for coffee or tea and a bite to eat, and luggage to be handled. We were asked to point out our luggage (which was clearly marked) to be sure it was loaded on our bus. The staff was friendly but one got the feeling that some were experiencing their first day of employment.
