It was a great room, newly renovated, perfect bathroom!
Cons: noise from the street at night, wi fi s not free???!!! Come on! The bed was soooo nice and comfy and pillows too.
Other than that everything was great. The location s awesome, staff s super polite. Comparing to the Fairmont in Dallas, tx this one at least doesn't have problems with a/c.

Really nice hotel celebrating 100 years today (Sunday 15th June) We had a refurbished room. Not huge rooms but very comfortable with all the somethings. Great food in a fantastic casual sports type bar / restaurant. Moet Nectar by the glass, unfortunately my wife has a penchant for that! Recommend the Clam chowder followed by a blue cheese salad and steak.
This hotel was built in the early days when the railway came through and you can imagine what it must have been like in those days. Breakfast I thought was a bit expensive for what you get . Overall from a bloke that travels a lot this was a beautiful old hotel with lots of character smack in the heart of Calgary.

Room Tip: Not sure how many floors have been refurbished yet but the 10th floor is definitely one

This old and impressive building is very attractive. We stayed two nights. Room was very comfortable. Staffs very friendly and helpful. There are 7 steps to get into hotel from street. There is no ramp for wheelchairs. I understand it it under construction. It has a passages linked to building of Calgary tower. From wheelchair you can come out of at Calgary tower.
The hotel offers a great breakfast. It is a good idea to choose inclusive offer.

Fairmont hotels are super unique, romantic and always have something different to present to you. This hotel is really huge, enormous hotel. I love Christmas time, because this hotel decorates lobby just as a dream, beautiful and elegant. This hotel is great for your Calgary visit, but make sure you have a room facing city, streets etc... but not a back side where the train pass by. I had to change room because it was impossible to sleep. Room service is perfect as well as downstairs bar. ( their steak is amazing). Great hotel

Room Tip: Room facing city

I have stayed at this hotel well over 100 nights per year for the last few years. Old ,Character and a staff that remembers me. Great bartender Sarah and crazy lady server. THe Rimrock Restaurant is somewhat overpriced especially for breakfast. If you stay on the gold floor the lounge on the 9th floor is fantastic. Great views , great breakfasts , although I am not a fan of Nespresso coffees that are served. Gold floor staff are amazing as well

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is NOT overlooking the railway tracks

Beautiful hotel! Great staff! Great stay! On a scale of 1-10, this place is a 12! If you can, stay here if you are in Calgary!!! Most of the rooms have been remodeled for their one hundredth birthday. Could not find one flaw with this stay! And I travel a lot for both business and pleasure.
