The bow river pathway is awesome to bike on. We caught it right behind our
hotel and managed to bike about 4 hours. Beautiful bridges to go across one is
called the Peace Bridge.

I'm glad I missed last years devastating flood. When I followed it to it's source it was just beautiful all the way. I have not ever seen such a green color befor.

Typically a great float fishing river. In July of 2013 & 2014 was blown out by previously heavy rains.

There is a nice pedestrian trail going either direction along the river. Just watch out for bicycles.

Whenever I am in Calgary I go for a walk along the Bow. I access the walkway near the Delta Hotel and walk along the river with a side trip to Princes Island. A nice place to cross is the Peace Bridge, a pedestrian/cyclist bridge with a nice view of the river and city. The walkway is paved and there's a wide bicycle path too. You're never far from nearby city streets and you pass Eau Clair market area too. It's always active with cyclists, dog walkers and runners so it is comfortable for anyone. Nice alternative to the gym.
