Do alot of business in Calgary. We always stay at this hotel. Pool is great. Regency club is fantastic. Front desk staff are top notch. I always feel safe and secure. Parking is always a problem but I valet so no worries. Hotels are amazing...Catch, Thomsons, and there is a bar/grill too. I recommend this place highly

Room Tip: go Regency Club...breakfast is always amazing.

Overall great hotel:

-Excellent location right downtown and next to the C-train

-Friendly and helpful staff

-excellent room amenities (good toiletries, in-room safe, minibar, iPhone dock on clock radio)

-Room service was excellent (had steak bites and grown-up sundae)

-Fitness facilities are better than most hotels (good weight sets, 10 cardio machines with TV, etc)

-the only thing I didn't like was they don't use a fitted sheet on the mattress; they use a flat sheet and it barely reaches the end of the bed (the end of the mattress is uncovered). Thus, if you move much the sheet rides up and your feet touch the mattress. It's uncomfortable and annoying and it was like this a year ago when we stayed here. No excuse for this; it's easy to get right.

Overall an excellent hotel. I would recommend you stay on weekends and holidays when the rates are more accessible to leisure travellers. During the week it's quite pricey. We got Christmas holidays for $83-95/night on Priceline. Rack rate during business weeks can be $300 plus.

Located right in the heard of downtown Calgary, this hotel is modern and upscale looking.

The 2 C-train lines are just at the door steps in case you want to explore other parts of the city on a budget.

Check-in was a breeze, and the corner room I had had a weird layout. Bathroom is totally separate from the sleeping area. I am curious who designed it? Perhaps the separating wall was a structural one. Also one of very few hotels that still have a fridge that guest cannot use. This is problematic if you have an extended stay here and want to keep some personal stuff in the fridge (special drinks or such). And btw, the prices for those items in the fridge is pretty expensive.

Another issue is the conference rooms. It's in another building attached to the hotel. However, to get there, you need to go down to the lobby, walk to the other building (yes, connected), then take the elevator or escalator to the conference room.

Used their gym a couple times. Good new equipments, a little cramped, but no complaint overall. Wish they put the sauna in the changing room instead of next to the pool, but not a big deal.

I tried the restaurant for breakfast, and the buffet was really good.

Room Tip: Don't take the corner room if you prefer a more accessible bathroom.

I have stayed in many Hyatt properties. This one is definitely worth a stay and one of the nicest Hyatt properties I have seen. It is well situated in downtown, close to attractions and shopping. The lobby is well maintained and spacious. My room was very clean and up to date. Wireless internet was free, which is always appreciated. As a business traveller, I was very pleased.

We stayed here for only a few days for a conference that was being held at the hotel. From the second we walked in, we had fabulous customer service. Staff were courteous and fast to respond to any request. Be careful if allergies though - make sure to specify that you need foam pillows. Our "default" was feathers. Location is excellent and had lots of choices for meals. The in-house restaurants were ok, but had lots of choices within walking distance. We did utilize the spa and were impressed with all the extras available after our service. My travelling partner used the gym and the hot tub after and raved about the view from the hot tub. The rooms themselves were clean, comfortable and roomy.
