We stayed at the Hyatt for 4 nights recently and absolutely loved it. From the moment we walked in we had lovely service from Nelson at the front desk - she is such a sweet heart!
The gym in the Hyatt is AMAZING, the equipment is great and they have a fridge with aloe- vera towels inside to refresh and cool you down which I thought was really nice.
Overall we really enjoyed the Hyatt, the only downside was my husband made a "long distance" (not International) phone call and I believe he was the on the phone for 17 minutes, the phone call charge was $60 which we thought was a bit excessive and no offer was made to lower the cost. Apart from that we definitely recommend the Hyatt if you're visiting Calgary - just don't make any phone calls :0)

had a very difficult time getting something brought up to the room that I asked for 4 times, it felt like no one really cared from the front desk. Also to add to the frustration that made me want to write something about the service...the breakfast that was included in the room, the guy that poured a cup of coffee felt he deserved a $6 tip so he filled out my check without having me sign for this!

The room was clean and comfortable but I wouldn't pay for what they are regularly charging for a night stay. Its basically a glorified holiday inn.

Stay somewhere else! There are many choices.

This is still probably the best hotel in the city - even with a couple new high end additions in the past few years. Prices for hotels in the Calgary are crazy at best so be prepared to pay a bit more than your traditional Hyatt. Also, the staff at many of the Calgary hotels are bit lacking but the Hyatt folks here all have it together - nothing was missed from an efficient check in, extra requests, all the way to getting my car ready quickly so I could get to my morning meeting on time.

Rooms are modern, spacious and close to immaculate- something I would expect at every Hyatt. The spa and gym facilities, located near the top of the building, are probably what takes this hotel over top - swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and nicely sized modern fitness room. If you stay here definitely check it out.

Also the diamond lounge was another nice touch - with canapés and a great view of the city after long day of work.

I just completed my second stay at this hotel. From the doormen who will happily help you with your bag, to the front desk staff that make you feel like a king from the minute you walk through the door. To the room service folks who will bring you a fridge within about 5 minutes after your request, to the restaurant staff who absolutely bend over backwards to make sure that every need is cared for the staff at this hotel is AMAZING! The rooms are spacious and clean (I think every room should have a fridge, however). The fitness centre is open 24hours (a big plus for me, as I need to be out the door on business by about 7AM), The fitness centre is extremely well equipped with lots of cardio equipment, and wieghts and core training machines. (along with nice little amenities including chilled towels, folks!) I heartily endorse this property to anyone who is coming to Cowtown on business. A real find!

Room Tip: Both of the rooms that I have stayed in have been great. Ask for a fridge at checkin and they will h...

The Hyatt in Calgary keeps up the high standard usually expected from Hyatt - I have yet to stay at a bad one. It's not cheap but they do deliver what they promise. We stayed overnight and had a meal and breakfast in Thompson'd restaurant. The room and the bed were very good. The only minor problem occurred when the valet forgot about getting our car.

I had the pleasure of spending 3 nights here on a conference. Excellent hotel with large, luxurious rooms, good views, great service and great proximity to restaurants, shopping and other attractions. Food in the hotel was excellent as well. Great workout facilities overlooking the city on the 18th floor. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel.
