Stayed the weekend of the comic show and our 2 bedroom suite was perfect for our family. We had lots of space, the room was clean and room service was prompt. All around a great stay. Will stay again! and parking was $8 not $38 as other reviews have said.

Hotel is in a great location, close to Eau Claire Market, riverwalk, Chinatown and lots of choices of restaurants. It's an old building that still requires some TLC. I stayed at a 1 King room nicely equipped with a microwave, a fridge, a big dinning table and a comfortable living room. Bathroom was very small, shower head was supposed to be adjustable but should be replaced instead (the cover was already detached from the wall). The pull-out mirror was so loose that it could fall off anytime.

Staff in general were polite but lack of enthusiasm. Not everyone seemed to know exactly how much the parking rate was. The guest laundry room was unmarked and when I asked for the key to the laundry room, the front desk staff didn't bother to tell me where it was. Housekeeping staff seemed to be more helpful in this regards.

The fitness room had a few equipment but the room was kept too hot for exercising. The swimming pool was in the basement with no natural lights so I found it quite dull. However, they seemed to respond quickly to problems in the room. The overall stay was fine but I will only rate this hotel as average based on past experience.

Room Tip: There are only a few units on each floor, if you are light sleepers, ask for units away from the ele...

Although I'm a Calgary native, I have stayed at this hotel several times for mini day-cations to get out of the house with my boyfriend. The location can't be beat and is in the heart of downtown core Calgary. The hotel itself has very nice amenities, and a simple but modern style. The staff are always friendly and will go out of their way to help you out. Wonderful value; it always feels like a treat to stay here!

Excellent location for shopping and dining. The hotel is comfortable with basic amenities, but not luxurious. Found WiFi erratic at best in the room, but appropriate in the lobby area.

In town for a tradeshow, I found this hotel while searching Expedia for hotel deals in downtown Calgary. I got a great rate and generally was happy with my experience.

I stayed in a king suite which was quite spacious with a king bed in the bedroom (with ample closet space including a safe). The lounge room was big with a couple of comfy chairs, a couch, dining area with table & 4 chairs. The kitchentte across the back wall featured microwave, bar fridge, coffee maker, and kettle. The room was stocked with Starbucks coffee, Tzao teas, bottled water, and a bedside tea set with a good nighttime blend. Entertainment included LCD screens in the lounge and in the bedroom with decent cable service plus PPV options.

The appartment-style rooms have received some recent updates and are fairly contemporary but still have older windows. Window curtains were quite effective in blocking out city light or daylight if you need that afternoon catnap. There is a balcony off the lounge room, but in late March (great weather - warm and sunny!) the winter gunge had not been cleared off so very dusty and a bit of pidgeon splatter. Hopefully once spring is more solidly in force they will get around to some spring cleaning of the balcony... could be a cool feature for visitors to downtown.

My room had a couple of maintenance issues... the bathroom fan did not work, and the sink in the kitchenette would not put out cold water (lukewarm was about as cold as it got). I did pass a note on these issues to the front desk on my way out the first morning, but neither had been resolved before I checked out the second morning.

I'm a bit picky on housekeeping... and while everything was pretty clean, there was a rogue hair in the soap dish in the shower when I arrived. Maybe just my luck.

The staff I encountered were friendly and helpful but did not seem to go out of their way to provide a better than average welcome. Still courteous and efficient for check-in and check-out, so while it could be better, it wasn't bad.

Internet access was good... my bookig included free wi-fi as part of the deal but if not clearly stated as an inclusion when you book, the charge is about $9.95/day.

I didn't check out the pool, health club, or spa on this trip but they are there.

I would definitely stay here again... close to everything downtown, or a quick hop on transit or walk along the +15 network.

For a longer stay, or if you are on business, or need a hospitality suite to bring back a few clients or associates for a small meeting or cocktails this is more than adequate and a great value for the $$$.

The front desk staff was amazing. They are very understanding. When I checked in I was put into a single. But when I had talk to the girls at the front desk. They had no problem switching me for a free upgrade. Parisa and Danica are excellent. Very friendly and nice. Although the room was next to an elevator it was quit loud.
