“Rooms need updating”
Reviewed August 10, 2011

We stayed one night in this hotel and we were glad it was just the one. The lobby staff were friendly and the lobby itself was modern and clean. We were on our honeymoon and I asked for a nice room. The one we got was spacious but it looked out onto the concrete carpark at the back. There were patio doors which could not have been more dirty with yellow tape across them. Frankly the room looked like a crime scene !! It also looked like the room might not be secure. We were given another room on a higher floor at the front. Again the room was spacious but the bathroom was tiny. The furniture needed updating but the bed was brilliant - very large. The hotel was in a reasonably good location but overall it fell far short of what I expected.

From the staff to the room itself, this hotel is second to none. We have stayed here several times and have always been treated like royalty. The front desk staff are very friendly and willing to help in any way they can. The rooms are amazing. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which was perfect for us. 2 very comfortable single beds in one room for the kids and a huge king size bed in the master bedroom as well as a combined tv room and kitchen gave us plenty of space to move around.

I stayed here on a business trip in June 2011. Location was great, walking distance to China Town and mall. The rooms were so roomy. Full dining room table with 6 chairs, flat screen in living area, and a flat screen in the king bedded room. The second bedroom had 2 twin beds but no TV (could have watched the living room TV from the King bedded room and could have allowed the twin room a TV)...staff was very friendly.
Lots of dining options. Hotel allows you to take skywalk to food court and in inclement weather you would not even have to go outside.

I stayed here for one night before departing on the Rocky Mountaineer train trip. This hotel is in a great location - staff was friendly - room was clean - spacious. We had a very nice breakfast at the hotel. This hotel is great for business stays - families. This hotel is near restaurants - shopping. My stay was very short - I thought the hotel was fine.

I stayed there for two weeks while my house needed some repairs.
had a one bedroom suite and it was a very pleasant stay.
cleaned daily with fresh towel, great and friendly staff,
i would def. stay there again

very central and close to the transit route, it was just a bit on the pricy side

The hotel offers really big suite rooms including kitchenette, real table as well as a sofa group and a separate sleeping room as well as 2 televisions.
Cleanliness is very good.

Unfortunately, windows are quite dirty and paper-thin. Therefore, you can hear the surrounding noise at night even at high-level-floor rooms (on the one handside, there's a big street, on the other side, there is a parking space covering some air-condition-like machines which are generating noise about every 20 min).

Parking is very expensive (they charge arround 30 CAD/night) (However, parking in Calgary is not that cheap anywhere else in the next surroundings except on weekends).

Room Tip: Ask for a high-floor room. Maybe taking the street-facing side might be even quieter at night.

Stayed here for 3 nights on way to the rockies. Had a great stay, really helpful staff, especially Christina. Would recommend this hotel to everyone. Just a shame wifi is not free. Apart from that, spot on!

Thank you for your positive words about our Hotel and your recommendation to other travelers.
To clarify, we are pleased to offer free internet access in all rooms via DSL cable.

Recently we completed an extensive upgrade to our wifi service providing the largest bandwidth available in any Calgary downtown Hotel yet our $9.95 wifi fee is among the least expensive of the downtown Hotels.
