Have stayed several times recently, and like all Delta properties staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms in the "Atrium" as opposed to the "Tower" are much nicer. I don't usually have time for breakfast when i'm travelling on business, but the couple of times I've tried it i was very impressed; its a cut above most hotel breakfasts.

Room Tip: The property has two separate buildings connected by a sky walkway - the "atrium" side has...

Here is the scoop on this hotel. We have been staying at this hotel for 13 years when visiting relatives. There are 2 parts to the hotel- tower and atrium. We have never, until recently, stayed in the tower as we have our preference of rooms. We travel as a family and the kids obviously love pools. We generally book a suite right onto the pool or the family suite next to that. That was until Delta took over. We were told to book through Delta and not the hotel itself. Agents there cannot book or ascertain specific rooms, so after a couple of blunders was asked and were told to call the hotel directly- though they promise the room of choice (re- booking months in advance) our choices are always not available upon arrival. Kind of a damper after all these years. Last time, we were sent to the tower- big mistake. Drunk fellow singing in the hall at 1:30 (security did stop him after about 1/2 hour) unknown spill on the floor (was cleaned by staff but still sopping wet), but the kicker was COLD. Frost on windows cold. Called several times to desk and was assured it would be taken care of "right away". It was not. Toilet seat was like using an outhouse in the middle of the winter. Breakfast, as always downstairs in the atrium is good but pricey at 20pp. All in all, used to be a great place. For the cost, service sucks. We will be finding a new place to stay from now on, too bad but it happens. (fyi, not a complainer ever. We travel a couple of times a year to HI, Bahamas and other islands, and really for 250ish a night I prefer warm weather- beach front and really really good service- something this hotel used to offer).

Brief stay as in town for overnight business trip.
Staff was friendly and efficient.
Recently renovated room and bathroom were clean. Shower had great pressure.
Appreciated complimentary Starbucks coffee station near desk, was stocked by 6 AM so no need to head out in cold to find coffee before meeting.

Room Tip: Found room at end of hall on main floor of tower one to be noisy as along route to pedway to adjacen...

I stayed here for a few days as I normally do on Calgary business trips. Maybe I'm just getting old but this time I found myself a bit worn from all the walking in this hotel. The room was a hike from the restaurant and I had to use both front desks for various reasons which was a real jaunt.
Maybe this hotel is just a bit too big..or..one has to be younger.
It's a bit out of the way too although close to the train which can take you downtown.
The rooms are average but I'd say not quite as nice as the other Deltas I frequent. I think I would use my Delta Privilege upgrade next time...if I stay here that is.
One positive was the desk clerk who fielded several anxious calls from me as I was waiting for an important parcel. She actually brought it to my room herself...no small feat considering the parcel weighed almost as much as she did.
Impressive and above and beyond the call of clerks.
Restaurant was cheery and spacious...average food...and that about sums it up for me with this hotel..kind of average.

Room Tip: get one near the restaurant.

My family and I stayed here over New Years and thoroughly enjoyed it! We'd been given a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe room in the Atrium building. Beautiful room, very spacious and clean, with more amenities than we needed! Every single employee we came into contact with had a genuine smile and greeting for us. They were quick to respond to every request, and very accommodating. The service was excellent.
In terms of our needs, the location of the hotel was great; lots of shopping and dining options nearby. We didn't have time to make use of all the hotel had to offer, but I would absolutely stay here again!

Stayed at many other deltas and this hotel doesn't compare. Definitely needs to have some quality control in the cleaning department. Seat in a family suite that had been updated but only partially. Had dirty stained carpet and needed a paint job. Prob won't return for the price we paid unless some up keep and up dating is done
