When I was bumped off a flight in Calgary recently, the airline offered to put me up in the Port O'Call. I was not too excited about it since I had stayed in this hotel several years ago and it was not a place I wanted to return to. But I was very pleasantly surprised to see that the hotel has been renovated, upgraded, and is now a very clean and comfortable place to stay. Don't know what the Best Western "PLUS" means, but if this is it, I like it!
The lobby was nice, the staff was friendly and helpful, and most importantly, the room was clean and quite recently renovated. It was quiet. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful with nice contemporary cabinets and counter top and a new, deep soaker tub. I am a person who is a bit of a germ freak, so it takes a lot for me to feel comfortable in a hotel room. But I certainly did here.
The restaurant staff was very gracious and the food was delicious. Prices were reasonable.
All in all, i would be happy to stay at the Best Western Plus Port O'Call next time I am through Calgary.More
