Stayed here with my family during spring break. The kids loved the waterpark and usually went twice a day during our stay. It isn't that busy either. The room was pretty decent and the service was very good.

We enjoyed balcony rooms with a great view while staying 2 nights waiting for a motor coach tour to begin. Very clean rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Great food in restaurant. Negative is hotel is in the middle of nowhere. If you fly in - you're stuck in your room unless you want to navigate a bus and then a train to go downtown - or pay the $$$ for a taxi. There are no sidewalks - no place to walk to except a coffee shop nearby and you take your life in your hands trying to cross two busy streets to get to it. Also, we had to wait an hour at night outside the airport after making 2 calls for the shuttle to pick us up. We wish the hotel, along with staff was in a more convenient location.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony

Beds are comfortable, rooms are clean, room service was good. Nice to have a full service family-friendly hotel. The waterpark is awesome, BUT the hotel information binder in the room said the pool opened at 5 AM. As we were walking to the waterpark at 8 AM, someone at the front desk stopped us and told us the pool doesn't open until 9 AM. I told him about the binder in the room and he said that meant the OTHER pool. Like somehow that was going to make my 2 year old feel better about not being able to go to the waterpark. Seems funny that the waterpark doesn't open until 9 AM after most families have checked out. It wouldn't kill them to update the information in the room, and to have a more family-friendly policy regarding the waterpark. Also, the blinds could be a bit longer to actually block out the light.

Please kindly accept my sincere apologies for the confusion as we also have a pool in the lower level by the fitness room that does open at 5:00am, whereas Wavespark does and always open at 9:00am .We will review the printed information in the guest rooms to ensure our information is accurate. Thank You for pointing that out so that we could improve in meeting the expectations of our valued guests.

Kindest Regards ,

I chose this hotel based on other Trip Advisor reviews and for the waterpark. I was travelling with 5 children, ranging from teenager to toddler twins to an infant. The hotel was able to accomodate us all in one room (2 queens plus a pull-out couch). I brought a travel bed but was informed they do have cribs.

We were a late arrival and the staff were extremely pleasant and they helped me carry my mountain of belongings up to the room. I was very happy with the layout, decor, and cleanliness of our room. The beds were very comfortable.

I was disappointed that there was no continental breakfast. But we did try out the buffet at lunch time one day - it is difficult for us to eat out with all my little ones but the host and waitress didn't make us feel out of place at all - again, very accomodating. The food was outstanding and very fancy - fresh baked bread, homemade soup, fresh fruit, and fancy entress and desserts. Definitely a 5 star experience.

We stayed 3 nights and used the pool in the evenings. The waterpark has 2 waterslides and a separate wading pool area for little ones. It was very convenient for me as most hotels do not have a separate shallow end. It was worth the stay alone for the pool - the kids all loved it.

I would suggest bringing your own drinks/snacks - it is located in somewhat of an industrial area so it is not easy to just drive and pick up some snacks, and the gift shop/vending machines were very pricey.

Checking out was just as pleasant of an experience - they have a later checkout of 12 noon, and again, very pleasant staff. And again, I was helped out with my luggage.

All in all, the best experience I've ever had at a hotel - clean rooms, outstanding service, good food and great waterpark. I'll definitely return. Very family friendly. Thank you for a great experience.

Room Tip: Ask for a room by the pool if you have children. I noticed rooms that opened right on to the pool.

PROS:
Nice lobby and staff permitted early book in once room was ready. Staff stepped forward without direction or request to assist with luggage and store until room available. Room was a large size with a microwave and fridge as well as a large wall mount TV. View from the room was good of the Calgary skyline with the mountain ridge in the back. Conversation overheard by airline staff leaving the hotel was all positive and wishing other hotels had these amenities. Housekeeping tried to meet our only request but when unable to do so provideed an alternative rather than just give up which is nice to see. Meals are nice in the dinning room and the lounge has reasonably priced drinks. Airport shuttle is free. Hotel has pool and slides geared for children (stayed on weekday so cannot comment for the weekend) but also adult used the pool.

CON: none

Summary:
We would return here while awaiting out flight.

Stayed for one night before our flight to Toronto. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport but the hotel operates a free shuttle every hour. The room was very big with 2 double beds in the room. The room was very clean and the beds very comfortable. The bathroom was very good also.

We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it cost us $52 for dinner and a glass of wine each which was well presented and quite tasty. The service in the resturant was very prompt and efficient.

Hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to friends and would certainly stay there again

Personally, as a single person traveling for business this hotel is great. The 5th floor rooms deliver a 5 star guest room experience. And if I was traveling with a family the indoor water slide is a kids dream. I've tried other hotels in the Calgary airport area and now will remain loyal to the BW port o call and the first class, 5 star staff.
