Very nice ambiance ,warm ambiance with a true French feel since most of the staff is French.
It was my first visit so all we had was a variety of smaller Tapas so we could taste a little of everything. All was good

We will go back to try the fondue

We returned to the Laurier Lounge for their three course fondue dinner. Once again, the food was outstanding, and the service from the owner, Martin, was very good. They have a decent wine list for those interested. The restaurant is located in an old house, split into a number of small rooms, and the tables are all quite intimate - cozy for small groups - not great for a large group. It's a bit pricey, so be sure you are familiar with their menu prices in advance. Overall, we will absolutely be back.

We were back at Laurier Lounge after a while and we just loved their Fondue Experience, very much!

The food was great and the drinks good as well, but the drinks prices were a little bit high. The service could also improve.

All in all, a good experience!

This was our first time and we were extremely pleased with our meal and service. For starters we had the pork belly/scallops and the chicken poutine. The pork belly was about the best we had ever had, seasoned and cooked to perfection. The scallops were very good. The poutine was very good as well, and the chicken was very tender, however I think it would have been better shredded in a sauce or gravy, rather than the thick slices. For mains we had beef bourguignon and pickerel. The beef was ever so tender, with a very creamy spritz of potato and nicely done veggies. The pickerel was over a risotto with some clams and a tasty sausage, all was very good. our meal was paired with an excellent wine from Argentina and sparkling water, altogether good value for the service and quality of food. I must say, we did save our appetite for the evening meal, and found that there was just a little too much food, although our waitress did warn us we would be full!

First visit and liked it very much, great atmosphere (how could you go wrong at the old Stanley house). Very good service and excellent food, only wish the chef had held back somewhat on the salt. The menu is varied and interesting.
