This was a very nice hotel for the price that we got it at. It was close to the freeway and to downtown.

Room was really clean and the beds were comfortable. Pillows and bedding were very nice. Only negative I had with the room was the a/c unit was very loud, Typical i guess when its those units right underneath the window.

The shower and bathroom was very clean which is a bonus when you have small children and you have to bath them in the tub. It has a dispenser on the wall for shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner in case you forget your stuff. Didn't have too much to deal with as far as staff nor did we try the in house restaurant.

We stayed here for two nights as a base for exploring the area and we were very happy with our room. It was very modern, clean and comfortable and far enough from the road to be quiet. There are quite a few decent restaurants nearby and only moments from I-1.

I know this is supposed to be a hotel review, not a restaurant one but the restaurant was so terrible it is hard not to pass judgement. After all I did order room service and as someone mentioned below, breakfast was part of my package as well.

Let me just start by saying the hotel staff were friendly, the management seemed excellent for the few dealings I had with them. They helped with some large deliveries of material for a seminar we were having. The gym is the best gym I've seen in a hotel. Large rooms were clean and comfortable. Overall I was very pleased with the hotel.

Now for that restaurant. It's a Ric's Grill and it is by far the worst restaurant I think I've been in. I had four breakfasts there and they were all horrible. Cold food, poorly presented, tasted awful, service was poor. It's like they had no idea what they were doing. I had lunch there once and it was just as bad. The buffet looked ridiculous so I ordered some salmon off the menu and it was bland and overcooked. Through out my stay I kept going back ordering something different hoping it would get better but it never did. I've never reviewed a place so poorly before but this place needs some major work and maybe this review can get them going in the right direction.

So the hotel is great as long as you treat it as not having a restaurant. I would give the hotel four stars on its own but I can't do that officially because of the restaurant.

The room was clean and a good size. Parking is free and is right around the entrance to the hotel.Check in and check out worked well. The wifi worked well. The location is good as it is not on a main road so highway noise is not an issue. However when we were there , other guests were up at 5:30 a.m. and making noise next door and in the hallways. We suspected they were on a tour and the tour left in the early morning.
Some staff were very good and others needed further training or should be reassigned. Two issues we had with the hotel were :1. we needed to have no feathers on the bed due to allergies. When we checked in we were informed there were no feathers in the room. However when we checked, there were 8 feather pillows in the room. At the same time we noticed the clock was not working. We phoned to change pillows and to get someone to fix the clock. That night we did get new pillows and were informed the clock would be replaced the next day. No one showed up the next day to fix the clock until we again contacted the front desk and we received a new clock so we could tell what time it was particularly at night.
With our room we had breakfasts included. The first day, breakfast was a total joke. We were told there was a buffet so we filled our plates. Everything was cold including the eggs. potatoes, pancakes, bacon, etc. We were told we could then order off the menu. We did this except we had no cutlery now, no water, no napkins,no nothing as the staff totally ignored us and when we did get their attention to get us the basics ,nothing happened until we asked 3-4 times. People at other tables were even getting up to get their own coffee, etc. as the staff we no where to be found. The second breakfast was better as we ordered off the menu but again the service was not acceptable. ( Also be aware a very small glass of orange juice from a juice container costs $4.00). The third breakfast was much better as the food was good and the service was very good.

I stayed here for business purposes. The rooms are nice with two comfortable beds with thick comforters. A great pool area with a sauna steam room plus a hot tub.

The attached restaurant has good value and a variety of menu items to pick from. Additionally the hotel has underground parking for those cold winter months.
