A MUST do! Nice staff, too. Dressed in period costumes, they will chat to you and give you interesting bits of info. Loved Brian, the wagon "Driver". Ride a steam engine, an antique boat, and if you like cars, check out the antique motor exhibit. Didn't have enough time to see everything.

A lovely experience for all ages! Just went through a complete renovation, this outdoor experience was wonderful. Old fashion rides, shopping and be sure to go on the pattle-wheel boat. I would plan to spend a full day here.

We spent just over half a day here and found it very interesting and as the weather was hot and sunny it was pleasant to walk around but could imagine it being a lot less enjoyable if the weather is wet.

The staff are really great and enter into the spirit by dressing in the period costumes, they were also very happy to talk and answer any questions. Nice setting at the side of the water with an old fashioned paddle boat.

A very large and first rate attraction of its kind. Lots of original buildings and some replicas plus a museum of transportation plus a steam railway chugging around. While certainly a "family" attraction it is also well worth the attention of a serious history buff or even a professional. Somewhat similar to the Fort Edmonton site and to Upper Canada Village in Ontario. We were lucky enough to be there on a day when all the rides (train, boat etc.) were free but I can imagine it being a bit pricey otherwise. Well worth it though.

Visited during a very warm July day in 2009. The Park has many interesting features - the paddleboat, the train and the numerous period buildings. The staff are dressed in period costumes and the man who took us on the horse and cart ride was particulalry entertaining. The staff overall were very friendly and welcoming. And, the ice cream was just brilliant.
Spent the whole day there and did not weary of the experience at all. Would be our first re-visit should we come back to Calgary
