“A must see in Calgary”

A great way to view Western History and how life was once.
The buildings were all moved onto the property from around Alberta and the Prairies.
The exhibit called Gasoline Alley is especially well presented with old vehicles (Cars and Trucks) having fantastic restorations.
Have a nice meal at the Wainwright Hotel.

“Fun old fashioned rides”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

We had so much fun at heritage park looking at the old trains. One steam engine travels around the park and the kids love it!! They also have old fashioned rides for kids to go on and wagon rides.

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

Pioneer town with lots of fun food venues( ie hotel saloon, old fashioned bakery with old fashioned baked treats, baked on site, old fashioned candy store with candy from yesteryear. Old fashioned rides( no roller coasters- teens will find them lame. Kids and especially grannies will like. Gas town has a cool selection of old cars. There is a train and a large steamboat to take in. Lots of times there are entertainers ( usually country music and often Ian Tyson type artists) cool place to have thanksgiving dinner. Good Sunday brunch. There are lots of real ghost stories around certain buildings so neat to read before you go. Can be kind of expensive. Look for coupons in entertainment or sutp book.

“Wonderful Christmas Brunch”
Reviewed April 15, 2014 via mobile

The Christmas brunches sell out FAST (book as soon as you can). Nice selection and you can walk around after and enjoy Christmas craft shopping. It's a long walk from the gate and can be slippery. Recommend going at 10 am or later so that you can take the shuttle around the park - especially if travelling with seniors. I go every year and this always puts me in the Christmas spirit!

“wonderful place for the whole family”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

We took visiting family from England here for the day - they were so impressed they asked if we could go back the next day. We were all very impressed by the "PioneersTrain Ride across Canada". The experience was awesome. The gentleman that hosted this venue was excellent and as you boarded the standing train car you really felt that you were a pioneer coming from Europe to settle land out west. He just made the whole show, it was humerous, educational and very enjoyable. Even small children were included - a real "family" experience. I highly recommend this. If you can go to only one experience please take this one.
