“Delta Bow Valley”
Reviewed January 1, 2010

We stayed in the Delta Bow for the last three nights of our trip to Canada. We arrived at the hotel in the afternoon and after what appeared to be some mix up with our booking were offered an upgrade to a one bedroom suite for free. Our room was on the 14th floor and overlooked the Calgary Tower awesome! The room was clean but a little tired and this extended to the lift and pool areas. Downtown Calgary where the hotel is situated is a little run down but seems to be going through some sort of re-development. We felt free to walk outside the hotel at night and didn't feel threatened at all. The hotel staff were very friendly and were helpful in booking taxis and giving directions. We would stay here again for a short stay if visiting Calgary.

Travel alot for Business and we use the Delta Chains across Canada. This Delta is tops in customer service and truly every stay is a pleasent one even when waking up at 4 AM for the start of another work day. They have complimentary coffee, teas and water to nudge you into your work day.

Staffis always eager to help and really seem to care and take pride in their jobs. Richard at conceige was steller and went out of his way to make sure a package got delivered for me.

We used room service once and the lounge twice as well as took part in their lunch buffet at the Elemants restarant. After four years of staying here I would love it if they changed their room service and lounge menu but the food is good.

I love the beds at all Deltas, enough said, they equal those at the Westin and W's at half the cost.

This hotel is great value and I always look forward to returning. Thank you Delta staff.

Dear Quincytoo,

Thank you so much for your recent review of the Delta Bow Valley. We are happy to hear that you enjoy the hotel as much as you do. Richard is a great part of our team and continues to be a part of our team.
You will be happy to know that we have recently changed our In Room Dining Menu and have added a few new promotions to our Restaurant & Lounge. At Delta we also have a philosophy of "My Kitchen is Your Kitchen", where should you crave or desire something not on our menu; we would be happy to try to accommodate a meal to your liking based on ingredients we have in house available, just ask your server!

Thank you for choosing Delta … we look forward to “Welcoming you Home” soon.

Nice accommodations. Internet in the room. Our group leader was able to negotiate a complimentary Internet connection. 5 minutes walking from tram station. And a nice park beside the hotel...

We were on the 24th floor and the view was amazing. This one of the 2 Signature floors for adults and a private lounge, also with a great view.
You can have breakfast there and also some hors d oeuvre before supper, and free Wifi.

The room was very nice, quiet and nice bathroom ( shower only)

Nice pool also

We walked around and were never harassed by the vagrants , event at night.
However, Calgary downtown is very quiet , unpopulated and lack the atmosphere of Montreal downtown.
Many restaurants are found on 8th ( no cars) and C train on &th

Arrived lunchtime and we were lucky and our room was ready so parked the car. Nice room. Reception staff very helpful, gave us map of where we were to go to get the train to the Stampede and where the shops were. Short walk to the train and very simple to use. Far easier than taking the car and cheaper! Loved fact everyone wearing comboy hats and dress. As we had late flight, they looked after our bags - late checkout of 12, and left car there until the evening at no extra charge, which was very fair. Efficient and friendly, made us feel welcome. We ate a meal at the Calgary Tower - reasonable prices - so that was fun, and the Stampede great fun. Swimming pool and jacuzzi great as well.

Only one night in this hotel during a fly/drive throught the Rocky Mountains and beyond to Vancouver Island. Fairly convenient to the Airport and should take less than 20minutes. Useful underground parking is very convenient and probably fairly priced at Can$19. Reception capable and helpful and the remainder of the staff very pleasant thoughout. Room large and well presented with large comfortable bed. Bathroom a little dated and hair on the floor and in the bath, which is a particular hate of mine but soon cleaned up. Would recommend for a short stay. Care - do not turn right out of the hotel main doors. We were up early and decided to wander. After 250 metres a Canadian lady asked where we were going and we said for a casual wander around. She advised us against it and said there were better places to walk. We wandered on for a little while longer but then turned back as we came across numerous vagrants sleeping rough and some worse for drink. They appeared harmless but it was 8am. The rest of Calgary appeared to be fine. Recommend the 1st Nation exhibits at the Museum and Calgary Tower is worth a visit.

We stayed for just one night whilst attending the Stampede, We arrived early in the day and surprisingly the reception staff found us a room immediately - which was more than we had hoped for. This set our day off to a good start - the underground parking was a good deal for the time we were there, and very easy to access.

The reception area was all set up for the Stampede atmosphere with straw bales etc. All staff we encountered were friendly and only too pleased to help. The hotel is easy to find and well placed for the town.

I imaging The hotel is used a lot by the business community but worked equally well for us as holiday travellers, I would recommend this hotel and if we travel to Calgary again will choose to stay here.
