I first visited Calgary in the Summer of 2008 and immediately fell in love with Prince's Park and the surrounding Bow River paths. I was in town recently and couldn't wait to visit again. For a city the size of Calgary, it is quite unique to have a park like this so close to the Downtown Core. If your plans call for a visit to Calgary make sure you make time to visit Prince's Island.

love to run in this park. very nice right in the midst of the city to find a place to stroll, feed the birds, or run on paved running trails beside the Bow river. All the damage of the flood seems to be gone with the efforts of the Calgary parks people.

A beautiful place to just go to unwind and enjoy all that nature has to offer, right in the heart of the city. Peaceful, beautiful, nature retreat. Bring a blanket and maybe a good book.

Princess Island Park is an Oasis in the middle of a concrete desert .
Beautiful, romantic & a nice break from the city hustle & bustle.
