“A Core Park”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2013

Right in the middle of downtown. An excellent park for a little stroll or to watch the geese (but do keep your distance). It does get very busy during the lunch hours because all of downtown Calgary seems to go there for lunch on a sunny day.

“Wonderful city-centre park with everything from soup to nuts!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2013

The park has great walking trails, access to the river along with a plethora of Canada Geese and their babies. So cute to watch on their daily walks and experiences. There is fine dining on the island along with some fast food places along the way. The trails and paved walks go on for many miles and bikes and rollerblades share the way leading to and from sculptures, historical sites and lovely views of the river. I was entranced and took hundreds of photos.

“Amazingly beautiful nature trail in the midst of downtown”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2013

This is such an amazing place to stroll in the midst of the downtown high-rise buildings. It's adjacent to Chinatown and downtown. There were lots of people exercising as well as office workers doing their exercise during the lunch hour.

Fall colors were amazing. The Bow River is pristine and offers such a great reflection of the lush green vegetation.

“Beautiful place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2013

The Prince's Island Park is a main place to visit in Calgary. It is charming, small and you can see the local vegetation in a very calm place all integrated to downtown Calgary and the posh neighborhood of Kensington.

“Charming downtown park ... a must see”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 13, 2013

This park is absolutely a must see when visiting Calgary. There are spacious, paved walkways which meander around the water, next to the Eau Claire shopping, cafes and historic pubs. From most sides of the park the downtown skyline is visible. Bicycling, walking, wheel-chairing and bench sitting park friendly.
