I'll start with the good... The soup has a very nice flavor. That's where it ends. We had the cheese fondue and tenderloin fondue and were shocked by the portions and lack of flapyr and quality. The menu reads that they both come with vegetables and roasted potatoes. I guess if you consider half a mushroom (which my husband and I then halfed again in order to share) one tiny baby potatoe (notice how the menu said "potatoes"?) one small carrot and a half piece of asparagus. The bread with the cheese fondue was crusty from sitting out and our server was certainly nothing to write home about. She lacked personality and had to be asked for even a water refill. All in all, will not go back and will not recommend.

We had dinner at the Walliser our 1st night in Lake Louise. We ordered the beef/bison fondue to share. Our server did say the vegetables and potato that came with it were small and suggested a salad or an appetizer. We elected to just go with the fondue and were thinking about getting the chocolate fondue after. Well to say it was a small portion was right on. We decided to try the original cheese fondue since we were still both hungry. This was our mistake. The cheese was just too much and overpowering after a bit and nothing special. Needless to say we did not order the chocolate fondue. The quality of the food was just average to us. The atmosphere is all wood and feels like you are sitting in a library or a gentlemen's club. Not bad just a little "stuffy" feeling. The tables are very close together and a bit cramped. Pricey for what we had but it is a hotel restaurant so it was expected.

The fondue for two was nothing short of incredible and the portions were just right. My wife is on a low fat diet and the chef accommodated her requests preparing a wonderful chicken dish. The waiter was experienced and attended to our every need without us having to ask for anything. It is a splurge to eat here for sure but worth it. It was the best overall food/service we received during our vacation.

The food is very good. My husband's filet was overcooked. My veal stew was good but was nothing special. For the price, we do expect more. The mousse was quite nice and was really enjoyed by my sister-in-law. The service was good. We had a nice table with a great view.
