Watching the meals ordered at other tables was a learning experience. There was something that heated a block of cheese that you then scraped off to add to your bread, potatoes, and other things. I tried the seafood fondue which my first experience with fondue. It was fun. The waitress was very helpful and seemed to love her job.

My husband and I enjoyed the quality of the food and the European feel...and of course the view. We split one cheese fondue pot, a salad, and an entree, and this was PLENTY of food. We thought the whole fondue meal (at $80/pp) would be too much food. We ate for less, and felt like we didn't over eat.

Food and service were both great. Get the charcuterie plate just for the bacon (the rest is good too). Attentive service. Complimentary valet parking for restaurant patrons. The decor (faux library - lots of dark wood, polished to the point of looking fake) could be better - there is no reason you can't serve traditional food in a contemporary setting. The view from the large windows included the spectacular lake on one side and rainbows over mountain tops on the other side.

Had supper there with my family and it was absolutely beautiful. The views were definitely something to see and the service was excellent. The food was also excellent. When back in Lake Louise we will be stopping there again.

Do not eat for two days before going here if you are going to try their fondue special, which goes through the card ending with a chocolate fondue and fruit. Otherwise the food is Swiss-ish with German and French influences. If you're not into fondue then you might find the choices limited. I had the wiener schnitzel - (9/10, but then my husband's family are from Austria so no-one gets a 10), he had the raclette - which was difficult to keep going at the right temperature. In Switzerland the waiter scrapes the melting cheese, here it's a little burner and self-serve. Chalet-style wood furnishings make it a little dark, possibly romantic, and the night we dined, there was definitely a mix-up over table bookings. Possibly just a one-off computer malfunction. Good for a party night out or a romantic dinner for two.
