Service was friendly and good. The food was about average. Its a bit "fancier" than your standard American Pub, which adds some quality to the food. The portions were good size. I had the bison burger, which was pretty good. Their sweet potato fires are also good. My wife had the Prime Rib sandwich which was a very fat rich cut! They were also running out of draft beer while we were there.

We stopped here after asking the locals for a "cheap" place to eat. We got the blackened chicken sandwich and salad (pretty spicy) and the chicken wings and fries. Both meals were prepared great the the staff was so friendly.

Really nice servers, cool bar menu - a cut above what you'd expect for a hotel bar. My husband had the bison burger which he loved and I chose a platter with red pepper hummus, spinach artichoke dip with baguette slices and an array of fresh veggies - it was an appetizer but just right for a light meal!

Food was not great but not bad. Nothing special.. Over priced for what it is. We ordered the Asian platter as an appetizer it was cold over priced and all tastes like nothing but deep fryer. Had the chicken inn sandwich as a main and that was good. Our waitress Sara was lovely. Very knowledgable of the area and surrounding hikes. Our daughter loved her. The bartender was not so friendly he seemed very annoyed and agitated with everyone around him. We also ordered the berry crumble for dessert that was very nice. The music was tacky and too loud. No one wants to listen to movie soundtracks for dinner.

I agree with the previous reviewer. The bartender was a surly as could be -- the guy must really hate his job. He was intentionally not helpful with us trying to decide which pitcher of beer to buy with dinner. The waitress (Megan) on the other hand was great. She was patient as we asked for a couple of small samples for tasting. We actually heard the bartender say "seriously?" when we asked for a 3rd variety since the first two were not to our liking. Amazing.

Anyway, my wife had the nachos (get a half order which is plenty of food). I had the prime rib sandwich which was really good. It is just the prices are way too high for the food that you get. Probably typical in Lake Louise.
