“Sense of achievement”
Reviewed August 8, 2014

Enjoy a break at this tea house after the hike and feel a sense of achievement. Simple menu, but reasonably priced considering the location and excellent service. We didn't expect to get a table on a very busy July lunchtime but we were pleasantly surprised and it was worth waiting 5 minutes for a table - if you sit at a table, you will have a waiter/waitress take your order and can skip the queue for ordering at the counter.

“Great Hike, but No Need to Go Beyond the Teahouse”
Reviewed August 8, 2014

This is a great, relatively easy hike to the tea house. One can then go on for an additional mile to an overlook. The view from the overlook is pretty, but my wife and I would not repeat the trek other than purely for exercise.

The teahouse is charming! Like everything else in this area, it gets crowded early. I suggest being there no later than 11:00 a.m. Have a sandwich, hummus, or a great piece of apple pie. Don't expect a bargain...they have to carry the food in...but it is well worth it.

Envision yourself in what feels like a very large tree-house...surrounding by beauty...that's the teahouse!

“amazing hike & views”
Reviewed August 7, 2014

this was a beautiful hike that led to vistas of 6 glaciers. easy enough for our family of 4 with 2 young kids to accomplish. the resting point at the tea house was perfect so my parents could peel off while we continued on to the end of the hike.

“Simple pleasure”
Reviewed August 7, 2014

You will never enjoy soup and sandwich as much as after you hiked those 5.5km uphill. The staff is friendly and the service is quick enough.

Homemade bread for the sandwiches was awesome, cut really thick. The soup was nice and tasty.

Not a lot of choices, no electricity and no runing water... who cares? they make ''feel-good'' food and that enough to make you happy.

“Lovely Teahouse in gorgeous Banff National Park”
Reviewed August 7, 2014

The food is simple but hearty and delicious (and made in a building with no electricity!). The tea selection provides something for everyone. The menu is limited but more than sufficient. The beauty of the area, and the appetite you'll have after hiking from Lake Louise, makes this a perfect spot for a snack or lunch. We started at Lake Louise, hiked to Six Glaciers, then headed to Lake Agnes and Mirror Lake. It was a long hike but having the two Teahouses for breaks and snacks made it a wonderful day.
