We ended up doing 4 hikes in 1 and the last place we got to was the "Plain of six Glaciers" . My partner went to do the extra 1.5km viewing spot and I found a great spot on the balcony of the Tea House, for an aussie so far from home the Vegemite sandwich was heaven sent and the Tea was even better. When he returned 45mins later a hot chocolate was consumed.

We arrived at the tea house after a long hike to the Plain of Six Glaciers. It was a welcome treat to find a seat and refreshments and a warm smile.

We arrived at the Tea House after a 2-hour hike guided by the excellent Nadine, of Great Divide Day Hikes, who had already mentioned to us that we could either pack a lunch for the hike or purchase the food at the Tea House. We ordered soup, PB&J Sandwich and coffee which was exactly what we needed considering the rain and hail that we had just experienced.

Overall, excellent food choices considering the location. I would highly recommend the food at the Tea House.

Picture yourself walking from Lake Louise, past sparkling glacial streams, natural waterfalls, stunning overlook vistas. and mountain pastures with colorful wild flowers. Occasionally, off in the distance you glimpse avalanches or striking wildlife. But, the long gradual trek up from the valley floor has left you with visceral overload, aching muscles and tired feet. Then you see the tea house. Upon entry, you are escorted to a balcony table with a menu of limited, but hearty refreshments. The server is friendly but respectful. The chai tea is good, and the peanut butter and jam sandwich hits the spot. This is no 5 star cuisine, but all things considered, it is a 5 star experience.

This tea house is only a couple of hours from the Chateau Lake Louise and it is a welcoming reward at the end to a walk that is not difficult, but is very rewarding. They only accept cash.
