“Awesome hike”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

My fiance and I hiked to the teahouse this summer on our vacation in Alberta. The hike was amazing. I am not an avid hiker, but I was able to hike it in a relatively short amount of time. The view of Lake Louise was incredible. The teahouse was charming and served good food. It was expensive, but they are located out in the middle of nowhere. :) We enjoyed several hours at the teahouse and close by in the meadow watching the birds and the incredible view of the glaciers. I would gladly return.

“Highly recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

We tried to combine two activities on same day; therefore, we did horseback riding to the teahouse(9am-1). During the ride, we were able to take lots of pictures and enjoyed the scenery. It was fun. You will find the teahouse to be rewarding after the long journey. We heard the avalanches 3-4 times, quite an experience.

“Worth the hike to the end...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

The scenery is amazing all the way to the end of this hike. We hiked in October, so unfortunately the teahous was closed for the season so we didn't get a chance to try it out! But we packed our own snacks and water and the trip was amazing. If you make it all the way to the teahouse, it's definitely worth it to hike the 1.4 km further to the end of the trail overlooking the glaciers. We saw three avalanches (from a very safe distance) while we were up there!

Great hike - would recommend it!

“Wonderful Hike and Yummy Lunch!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

We started our hike around 11:30 and we we were back to Chateau by 2:30. We enjoyed a great lunch at the Teahouse. You sit outside at little tables on the second story deck. We had soup, quinoa salad and chai tea. The soup was wonderful! Everything was good but the soup was my favorite. Our service was good and our server was very friendly.
It is definitely worth continuing the hike to the end.

“Poor service, bad food and then overcharged!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012 via mobile

I have to start with this being a review of the tea house and not the trail itself, the trail was amazing, challenging in parts but great rewards with stunning views.

Onto the tea house....

We arrived and waited to to seated / told to grab a table, bit of a wait here then we had to wait again for someone to take our order, this must have been a good 10 mins. We then got our wraps and they were poor, long life wrap as you would get in a supermarket dinner kit, but not as nice. Filling was dubious and uneven, no thought into the preparation or presentation.

The bill then came and $30, bit much for a quick lunch so we checked, correct amount was $19- bit of a difference! I wonder how many tourists have just paid this? (while I'm taking about costs $4 for a small water, really?!)

I would recommend taking your own picnic up to the top and enjoying your food, much better experience.
