Relaxing and beautiful surroundings. The service was friendly and the stay was quiet and restful. We enjoyed the ice sculptures.

“Fantastic place for a walk and a bite to eat.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Food was excellent, albeit pricey. Several of the dining areas have breathtaking views of Lake Louise and the mountains.

“Snow Shoeing at Lake Louise Fairmont”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

We recently stayed at Lake Louise Fairmont and we wanted to comment on the snow shoeing tour we booked through the hotel.
It was simply awesome!!! We did not know what to expect of 'snow shoeing' and thought it may be a bit of pottering around the lake in special shoes. Our tour guide (Mike) told us from the onset that walking on the lake in fancy shoes "isn't snowshoeing" - and what he had in store for us was something else and it sure was - it was AWESOME and we had a ball!!!! It was just my wife and I on the tour and the 3 of us went off so that provided us with a bit more freedom than a larger group. We followed MIke on a tour which takes approx 3-4 hours. Mike has around 30 years knowledge of the area so that's excellent. He is a top guy with a witty sense of humour and very easy to get along with and provides plenty of laughs. Mike set a cracking pace but once we got to our destination (high up the side of the mountain) it was well worth it for photo ops and the most fun part - running (or shall we say stumbling hehe) down the mountain - what great fun!!!! Mike has an excellent knowldege of the wildlife too and provides great info along the way. He is also safety conscious and gets you well set (warm :) before you embark on your way. Tips before you head off - bring or hire ski pants/jackets and hand and toe warmers too and suitable shoes too.
Mike provided us with an excellent tour and it was the best tour of our canadian trip so far. Thanks Mike

Didn't stay just stopped in to see what it was like and it looked beautiful. Had a couple of drinks at the lobby bar, I wasn't driving.
